About Us

Our Lady of the Assumption & St Meddan is a Roman Catholic Church based in the coastal town of Troon, on the west coast of Scotland.

 Part of the Diocese of Galloway, we serve the town of Troon, including surrounding areas of Barassie, Loans & Dundonald, as well as St Partick's Primary School (https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/sa/stpatricksps/) and Queen Margaret Academy. 

Our Parish Priest is Fr Willie Boyd, who joined us from St Mary's in Irvine

  • Tea/Coffee after Mass in the hall

  • Stations of the Cross 3pm​

  • Praying with Scripture 7-8pm in the church house​​

  • Mass 10am

  • Church open  for private prayer 9am-1pm

Wednesday 1st April

  • ​Praying with Scripture 2-3pm Church house 

PASCHAL TRIDUUM​​

​​Thursday 2nd April

  • (Praying with Scripture 10.30 in the hall)​

​

  • The Mass of the Lord’s Supper 7pm.

​​

Silent prayer at the altar of repose until 9pm when there will be night prayer

​

​Friday 3rd April

  • The Passion of the Lord - 3pm (when we will be joined by fellow Christians from other denominations in Troon)

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Saturday 4th April

  • ​Easter Vigil Mass 8pm ​ - 8 adults will become full members of the Church

Reception in the hall after Mass - refreshments and snacks -​ All Welcome

  • Mass 11.15am

  • Teas / Coffee in the hall after Mass â€‹â€‹ 

  • Children's Easter Egg Hunt in the gardens
